Not well designed. : American Furniture Alliance Modern Loft Skyline Mission Futon Frame, Full, Black
The futon looks very good, but if you plan on using it as an actual bed you sleep on daily. (other college students?) that doubles as a couch.
Do Not Buy This One.
It looks good and works great for about 3-4 months, then the center hollow unsupported metal tubing starts to moderately bend from stress until the center is caved in.
I've personally resorted to reinforcing the lowest of my bed with wooden 2x4's so its lost its functionality as a couch, but at least i can sleep on a flat outside now and not suffer from back pain.
Other reviews claims of it being hard or impossible to fold out are understandable but very exaggerated, its not a easy pulling upward motion to fold and unfold this product, but rather a pulling and lifting type motion. Is it different? Yes. Is it hard or impossible to fold out? No.
All-in-all its great if you're going to use its occasional but for any sort of practical quarterly use, look at a separate design. The only think i gave this futon 2 stars instead of 1 star is because it looks good.
